Puzzled

"Puzzling"
10" x 10"
Acrylic on wrapped canvas
The shape of puzzle pieces has entertained me for most of my life. I like the knob and the bite on every side; each one unique in its shape and size. Each one locking perfectly into only one other piece.

This is not brand new, but my new pieces are taking longer on account of life getting in the way.  I'll post when I can until this bumpy road gets smoother.  Thank you for your inquiries and concerns on the days I didn't post.  I'm well, just engulfed.

Autumn Crescent Puzzle Moon

"Autumn Crescent Puzzle Moon"
18" x 24"
Acrylic on wrapped canvas

One steamy indian summer night when he thought nobody was looking, the Autumn Crescent took a refreshing dip in a rippling brook.  I saw him from the nursery window, as I rocked my feverish child and wished we could join him.

I posted the companion piece to this one back in August, and forgot to follow up with this one.  Here it is now—strangely out of order, but included, now.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Music in the Night

"Music in the Night"
20" x 16"
Acrylic on wrapped canvas
They played music with a palpable passion that curled into the night air like it had been slathered there with a spreader.  Each note connected to the next as tightly as puzzle pieces marching toward infinity.

This is a variation on my primary-colored puzzle paintings.  It is also a variation on what is normally digitally created from math equations "run amok."
Well, not exactly, but it's a computer generated art form.  Jock Cooper is the foremost fractal artist on the planet, and this is my interpretation of a segment of one of his images.  As his friend and agent, I have been given permission to add my own twist to his design.

This painting will be posted on Dailypaintworks.com in my gallery, and for purchase.

Thank you for visiting today.

Puzzle Moon

"Puzzle Moon"

Acrylic on wrapped canvas
When autumn chilled the Puzzle Moon she dipped down to take comfort in the Earthly warmth of colorful leaves, a rippling stream and a halo of golden stars.

I doodle puzzle shapes in real life.  Interconnection, spacial relationships, and graphic representation surface like this in my work cyclicly.  This style visited for a short time, then left.  I took the cue, and hung a series of them in my guest room.

This painting is listed with, and for sale through a Daily Paintworks auction.
